Indian cricketing legend S. Sreesanth, a member of the nation's victorious 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup squads, has shed light on a concerning issue – racism within Indian cricket.

 

Sreesanth, who hails from Kerala, revealed he was subjected to the term "Madrasi" throughout his cricketing career. "Madrasi" is a demonym used for people from South India, and it can carry negative connotations in certain contexts.
