Hardik Pandya Cleared to Bowl, Set for T20I Return vs South Africa: Report

Hardik Pandya has been officially cleared to bowl again after completing his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, making him set for a strong comeback in the upcoming T20I series against South Africa.

After suffering a left quadriceps injury during the Asia Cup 2025, Pandya spent nearly six weeks undergoing structured rehab and fitness monitoring. His programme at the Centre of Excellence covered strength conditioning, mobility training, and a gradual Return-to-Play (RTP) protocol.

With the medical team now satisfied with his workload capacity, Pandya has received complete clearance to resume bowling at full intensity. Before joining Team India, he will first play for Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) to prove match fitness. Selectors will closely monitor his overs, pace consistency, and all-round performance.

If he passes the match-readiness assessment, Pandya is expected to be named in India’s final squad for the five-match T20I series against South Africa. His return strengthens India’s balance, as the team has long awaited his dual role as a reliable middle-order batter and seam-bowling all-rounder.

Team management believes Hardik’s presence will be crucial in setting combinations for upcoming ICC events, especially with his proven record in high-pressure T20 f

ixtures.
