Smriti Mandhana has postponed her wedding with Palash Muchhal after her father fell ill and was rushed to the hospital.
The celebrations had already begun with Mehendi, Haldi and Sangeet rituals, but sudden discomfort during breakfast led to Smriti’s father being taken to a hospital in Sangli. Doctors advised observation, after which the family decided not to continue with the wedding plans.
Sources close to the family revealed that Smriti insisted she would not get married without her father by her side. Close friends, teammates and guests who attended the pre-wedding functions expressed full support for the family’s decision.
