Jakson Group partners with OMC Power for 50 MW solar project worth Rs 200 Cr

Jakson Group has obtained a Rs 200 crore contract from OMC Power for a 50 MW solar rooftop initiative in Uttar Pradesh, which will mitigate 62,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. This pivotal alliance will deploy solar rooftop systems throughout all 75 districts, representing a substantial advancement in sustainable development and energy autonomy.

Delhi: Jakson Group has secured a Rs 200-crore contract from OMC Power to execute a 50 MW solar rooftop initiative. This project, among India's largest, will substantially aid sustainable energy objectives by decreasing carbon emissions by 62,500 tons per year, comparable to the planting of 2.5 million trees.


An innovative 50 MW solar rooftop project was unveiled by Jakson Group and OMC Power, according to the announcement. An estimated 200 million rupees will go into this endeavor, making it one of the biggest solar rooftop single orders in India thus far.


In order to install solar rooftop systems in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Jakson will play a crucial role as a partner. Sameer Gupta, chairman and managing director of Jakson Group, and Rohit Chandra, managing director and chief executive officer of OMC Power, were present for the formal contract signing.


Chandra stated, "This collaboration between OMC Power and Jakson Group represents a pivotal advancement in Uttar Pradesh's pursuit of sustainable development and energy autonomy."

Jakson Group will implement solar rooftop systems in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, significantly contributing to the state's energy autonomy and sustainability initiatives. This program corresponds with India's overarching renewable energy objectives and highlights Jakson's dedication to advancing solar power.
