'Security priority for Indians'

Prime Minister Modi said that the security of Indians is a priority and is in constant touch with all the countries of the Gulf. Our goal is to bring peace to the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

PM Modi said that this war has created a serious energy crisis all over the world. This situation is also worrisome for India. Our trade routes are being affected by this war. This is affecting the supply of essential goods like petrol, diesel, gas, and fertilizers. In such a dire situation, it is necessary that the united voice of peace and dialogue from this Upper House of India's Parliament go to the whole world.

What is the goal of the Government of India?

"Since the beginning of the war, I have spoken to most of the heads of state of West Asia on two rounds of phone calls. We are constantly talking to all the countries of the Gulf. We are also in touch with Iran, Israel, and the United States. Our goal is to restore peace in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

'Attacks on ships in Hormuz unacceptable'

He said that attacks on commercial ships and blockages of international waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz are unacceptable. India has opposed attacks on citizens, on civil infrastructure, and on energy and transport infrastructure. India is making continuous efforts for the safe passage of Indian ships even in this war environment through diplomacy. India has suggested the only way to solve this problem is through dialogue.

'A test of both courage and effort'

PM Modi said that India is committed to ensuring safe passage of all ships carrying essential goods like fertilizer, oil, and gas. However, long-lasting global conflicts inevitably have adverse effects. To strengthen its resilience, India has taken significant steps recently and is now intensifying these efforts.

He said that it is India's effort to have oil, gas, fertilizers… Ships carrying all such essential goods reached India safely. Any crisis tests both our morale and effort.
