Justice Alok Aradhe was sworn in as the Telangana High Court's Chief Justice on 23 July 2023. He takes over for Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, who has been appointed to the position of Supreme Court judge.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Aradhe, who was previously a Karnataka High Court judge, at an event held at the Raj Bhavan.
Justice Alok Aradhe succeeded Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, who has been appointed to the position of Supreme Court judge.
He has served as a judge on the Karnataka High Court, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, and the Madhya Pradesh High Court. He has also held the positions of Acting Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court and the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
About Justice Alok Aradhe
Alok Aradhe was born in Raipur, Madhya Pradesh, in 1964. He earned his B.Sc. and LL.B. and began practising in the Madhya Pradesh High Court in Jabalpur in 1988. He handled civil, constitutional, arbitration, and corporate matters. In April 2007, Aradhe was appointed Senior Advocate.
Aradhe was a visiting faculty member at Madhya Pradesh's Judicial Officers Training and Research Institute. On December 29, 2009, he was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, and on September 16, 2016, he was transferred to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Justice Aradhe was the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Judicial Academy before becoming the Executive Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legal Services Authority.
