SP's Ramashankar Rajbhar Wins by 3,573 Votes and received total 4,05,472 votes. SP's Ramashankar Rajbhar defeated BJP's Ravindar Kushawaha who received 4,01,899 votes.

Salempur Election Result Highlights: Ramashankar Rajbhar, candidate of the Samajwadi Party won the Salempur constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 4,05,472 votes. BJP's Ravindar Kushawaha lost the election by a margin of by 3,573 votes.

Salempur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Deoria district in the state of Uttar Pradesh and its parliamentary seat number is 71. This parliamentary seat is made up of 2 districts of the state Ballia and Deoria. Salempur is known as the oldest tehsil headquarters of the state. It was established in 1939 as a tehsil in the British era. The Chutki Gandak river passes near Salempur and there is also a major station of the North Eastern Railway (NER) here.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: BJP's Ravinder Kushwah got 4,67,940 votes, BSP's RS Kushwah got 3,55,325 votes and SBSP's Raja Ram got 33,568 votes.
