RSS Begins 'Dhwaj Yatra' Kashmir to Kanyakumari: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started the "Kashmir to Kanyakumari" flag yatra from today (February 06). The yatra was launched from the historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar to mark the 100th anniversary of the RSS. The aim of the yatra is to spread the message of the film "Shaatak: 100 years of the RSS" across the country and to highlight the cultural, social and ideological contribution of the RSS.
Journey from Srinagar to Jammu on foot
The yatra started from the historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar. The members of the team travelled on foot from Srinagar to Jammu. Local citizens also participated in it. Filmmaker Veer Kapoor was also present on the occasion. The yatra started with a minute's silence. Tributes were paid to the RSS members and Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives while trying to merge Kashmir and India in 1947.
"Century: 100 Years of the Team"
Kashmir is geographically, culturally and psychologically an integral part of India. The film 'Shatak: 100 Years of the Sangh' talks about the work and contribution of the Sangh in 100 years. The film is directed by Ashish Mal. The film is co-produced by Ashish Tiwari. The film is slated to release on February 19.
