Paschim Champaran, also known as West Champaran, is located in northern Bihar, adjacent to the Nepal border, and is part of the Champaran region within the Tirhut division of Bihar. Following delimitation in 2008, Valmiki Nagar and Paschim Champaran became separate constituencies, previously part of the Bettiah constituency.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay Jaiswal won with 603,706 votes, while RLSP's Brijesh Kumar Kushwaha secured the second position with 309,800 votes.
