Nashik, located on the banks of the Godavari River in Maharashtra, serves as both a district and a prominent Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress party achieved its first victory here in 1952. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Hemant Godse of the Shiv Sena won with 563,599 votes, defeating Sameer Bhujbal of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and independent candidate Manikrao Kokate. The election was held successfully on May 20th, with a voter turnout of 57.10 percent.
