New Delhi: In a Twitter announcement today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that the prestigious Bharat Ratna Award will be conferred upon senior BJP leader LK Advani. This follows the earlier announcement of the posthumous Bharat Ratna recognition for former Bihar Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur. The Government of India, adhering to regulations, can bestow a maximum of three Bharat Ratna awards annually.
