INC candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring wins by 20,942 votes and received total 3,22,224 votes. INC candidate Amrinder Singh Raja defeated BJP's Ravneet Singh Bittu, who received 3,01,282 votes.

Ludhiana Election Result Highlights: Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, candidate of the Indian National Congress won the Ludhiana, Punjab Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 3,22,224 votes. BJP's Ravneet Singh Bittu lost the election by a margin of by 20,942 votes. 

 

In Ludhiana 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, candidate of the Indian National Congress defeated BJP's Ravneet Singh Bittu, who received 3,01,282 votes.

Ludhiana is one of the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab. It is also a major industrial city of Punjab. The Punjab Agricultural University, located here, houses the Museum of Rural Life. Pottery, musical instruments and traditional Punjabi clothes associated with village life have been kept here. In the lush green Nehru Rose Garden nearby, ornamental fountains and more than a thousand different rose varieties attract visitors.

 

From the point of view of history, the first name of Ludhiana was Lodi-ana, which was in the name of the Lodi dynasty. It has textile manufacturing, woollen textiles, machine tools, mopeds, and sewing machine engineering centres. The historical monument here is the Lodi Fort, which is about 500 years old, it was built by the Muslim ruler Sikandar Lodi on the banks of the Sutlej River. To the north-west of Ludhiana is the shrine of Pir-e-Dastgir, which is visited by both Hindu and Muslim pilgrims. The world famous Punjab Agricultural University established in 1962 is in Ludhiana itself.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: Congress candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu won the seat with 3,83,795 votes. Lok Insaaf Party's Simarjeet Singh Bains came second with 3,07,423 votes and Shiromani Akali Dal's Maheshinder Singh came third with 2,99,435 votes.
