Imtiaz Jaleel Syed of AIMIM won with 3,89,042 votes, defeating Shiv Sena incumbent MP Chandrakant Khaire, who had won the seat four consecutive times and received 3,84,550 votes. Congress candidate Subhash Jambad came in fourth with 91,790 votes.
