Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kanpur. He began the roadshow by paying obeisance at the Kirtangarh Gurudwara on GT Road here. PM Modi was accompanied by UP CM Yogi Adityanath and BJP candidate Ramesh Awasthi during the roadshow. The roadshow, which started from Gumti area, ended at Khoya Mandi, 1.8 km away. PM Modi reached Chakeri airport at 5.30 pm on Saturday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other leaders were present on the occasion. People thronged the streets to catch a glimpse of Modi.

25 security blocks to be set up
Three-layer security arrangements have been made during the Prime Minister's roadshow. District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar has given the responsibility of different blocks to 25 officers. The entire road-show route from Air Force has been divided into 25 segments. Special officers have been deployed in each police station to ensure security.
Muslim women say thank you Modi ji.
Muslim women, who have been specially invited to block number five earmarked for Durga Sena since the Prime Minister's roadshow in Kanpur, raised slogans of "Thank you Modi." During this, some women had also taken a poster passing a law against 3 talaq, in which slogans like 'Aabki Baar Modi Sarkar' were written. Apart from Muslim women, beneficiaries of other government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana expressed their gratitude to Modi. The event was attended by BJP Mandal General Secretary Bhisham Thakur, President of the Champa Panchayat, SP Mandi Gurdev Sharma, deputy commissioner Mandi Rugved Thakur, and other officers.

From Chakeri airport, the Prime Minister travelled via Ramadevi to reach COD bridge, Jhakarkati bus stand, Zareeb Chowki near Afim Kothi crossroads and then to Kirtangarh Gurudwara on GT Road Gumti.
