Hisar is an assembly constituency in Haryana. Hisar was founded in the year 1354 by the ruler of the Tughlaq dynasty Firoz Shah Tughlaq. At that time, Tughlaq named it Hisar-e-Firoza. After that, during the rule of Akbar, Firoza was removed from the name of this city and then only Hisar remained. From the point of view of history, Hisar was ruled by many empires. The city was occupied by the Maurya dynasty in the 3rd century BC, the Tughlaq dynasty in the 13th century, the Mughal Empire in the 16th century and then the British Empire in the 19th century.
