INC candidate Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa wins by 82,861 votes and received total 3,64,043 votes. INC candidate Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa defeated BJP's Dinesh Singh Babbu, who received 2,81,182 votes.

Gurdaspur Election Result Highlights: Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, candidate of the Indian National Congress won the Gurdaspur, Punjab Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 3,64,043 votes. BJP's Dinesh Singh Babbu lost the election by a margin of by 82,861 votes. 

 

In Gurdaspur 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, candidate of the Indian National Congress defeated BJP's Dinesh Singh Babbu, who received 2,81,182 votes.

There are 9 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat. The BJP won 7 seats and the Congress bagged one seat. Gurdaspur is just 10 km from the India-Pakistan border. The city has always been important from the security point of view due to its proximity to the international border. From the political point of view, Gurdaspur has an important contribution in the politics of Punjab. Especially in the Lok Sabha elections, the entry of a high-profile candidate changes the atmosphere of this city. The seat is currently held by the Congress, while the BJP holds the remaining seat. Now once again the BJP is active here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself started the rally from Gurdaspur before the Lok Sabha elections.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's Sunny Deol won the Gurdaspur seat with 5,58,719 votes.Congress's Sunil Kumar Jakhar came second with 4,76,260 votes and AAP's Peter Masih came third with 27,744 votes.
