In Gaya Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Jitan Ram Manjhi of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) is declared the winner, securing 494960 votes and surpassing Kumar Sarvjeet of the Rashtriya Janata Dal of India by 101812 votes.

The Gaya Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar is notable for its rich religious and tourist attractions. This constituency comprises six assembly seats: Sherghati, Barachatti, Bodhgaya, Gaya Town, Belaganj, and Wazirganj, with Barachatti and Bodhgaya designated as reserved seats. It is a cultural and communal melting pot. Within Gaya city lies the esteemed Vishnupad Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple hosts the annual 15-day Pitripaksha Mela, attracting millions who perform Pind Daan for their ancestors' salvation.

 

In the 2019 general elections, following the alliance between the NDA and the JD(U), Vijay Manjhi of the JD(U) emerged victorious, securing 467,007 votes. His closest competitor was Jitan Ram Manjhi from the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), who garnered 314,581 votes.
