IND Party candidate Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa wins by 70,053 votes and received total 2,98,062 votes. IND Party candidate Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa defeated AAP candidate Karamjit Singh Anmol, who received 2,28,009 votes.

Faridkot Election Result Highlights:  Sarabjeet Singh Khalsa, candidate of the India Party won the Faridkot, Punjab Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 2,98,062 votes. AAP candidate Karamjit Singh Anmol lost the election by a margin of by 70,053 votes.

Faridkot is an assembly constituency in Punjab. Its headquarters are in Faridkot. The district covers an area of 1,458 square kilometres. Faridkot district was part of the then Ferozepur division, but in 1996, Faridkot division was established with divisional headquarters, comprising Faridkot, Bathinda and Mansa districts. The headquarters of the district administration is located on the Ferozepur-Bathinda-Delhi railway line.

 

According to the 2011 census, Faridkot had a population of over 6 lakh. The district has a literacy rate of 69.55 per cent. The male literacy rate is 74.60 per cent and the female literacy rate is 63.91 per cent. There are nine assembly seats in this Lok Sabha constituency. The Faridkot parliamentary constituency comprises Faridkot, Kotkapura, Jaito, Moga, Baghapurana, Nihal Singh Wala, Dharamkot, Gidderbaha and Rampura Phul assembly segments.

 

Lok Sabha elections 2019: Congress candidate Muhammad Sadiq won the seat with 4,19,065 votes. SAD's Gulzar Singh Ranike came second with 3,35,809 votes and AAP's Sadhu Singh was third with 1,15,319 votes.
