Abhishek Banerjee, President of the All India Trinamool Congress Party (AITC) and MP of Diamond Harbour was declared the winner of the Diamond Harbour constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 1048230 by defeating Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Abhijit Das in West Bengal by 710930 votes.
