The estimated literacy level of the districts in which this constituency falls is 70%, according to the Census of India, 2011. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dilip Saikia of the BJP had a vote share of 48.82% in this seat. For the 2024 Lok Sabha election, there were a total of 21,87,160 registered voters in the Darrang-Udalguri constituency.
