SP's Ram Prasad Chaudhary won against BJP's Harish Dwivedi. SP's Ram Prasad Chaudhary got a total of 5,27,005 votes. BJP's Harish Dwivedi got 4,26,011 votes. SP's Ram Prasad Chaudhary won the seat by 1,00,994 votes.

Basti Election Result Highlights: Ram Prasad Chaudhary, candidate of the Samajwadi Party won the Basti constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 5,27,005 votes. BJP's Harish Dwivedi lost the election by a margin of 1,00,994 votes.

 

In Basti Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Ram Prasad Chaudhary, candidate of the Samajwadi Party defeated BJP's Harish Dwivedi, who received 4,26,011 votes.

Known as the land of the great Hindi scholar, critic, essayist, translator, storyteller and poet Acharya Ramchandra Shukla, Basti has honoured the society with many great personalities. This district has its own historical identity. The Basti Lok Sabha seat is one of the 80 parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh and its seat number is 61.

 

Lok Sabha elections2019: In Uttar Pradesh, 11 candidates are in the fray for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The BJP had again bet on the then MP Harish Chandra alias Harish Dwivedi. The Congress has fielded Raj Kishore Singh while the BSP has fielded Ram Prasad Chaudhary. The polling percentage in the constituency was 57 per cent. The seat was won by BJP's Harish Dwivedi.
