Shantanu Thakur of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was declared the winner of the Bangaon constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 719505 by defeating All-India Trinamool Congress (AITC) candidate Biswajit Das in West Bengal by 73693 votes.
