The BJP and the Congress are considered to be traditional opponents of each other in national politics. Also, due to the difference in ideology between the two parties, the two general parties can never come together.
It is believed that there can be no political alliance between them. But in the municipal council of Ambernath city near Mumbai, a strange equation has come together.
In the Ambernath Municipal Council elections held last month, BJP's Tejashree Karanjule Patil was elected to the post of mayor by defeating Shinde Shivsena's Manisha Walekar. However, the BJP did not get a majority in the municipal council. Shinde Sena was the largest party here.
So, will the BJP and Shindesena, which fought against each other for the post of mayor and other elections, come together again?
Arguments were being fought about this. However, to keep the Shinde Sena, which is the largest party, out of power in Ambernath, the BJP has resolved the equation of power by forming a coalition of corporators of the NCP, Ajit Pawar, and Congress.
Meanwhile, Shinde Sena has strongly criticized the BJP's alliance with the Congress. Shinde Sena has said that this alliance between the BJP and the Congress is an indecent alliance.
