Stars React to Fans' Unusual Appeals for Exam Support on Social Media

A current social media trend sees users asking their favorite celebrities for comments. Specifically, students are pledging to kickstart their studies or exams only if a particular actor comments on their posts

Stars React to Fans' Unusual Appeals for Exam Support on Social Media

Gen Z never ceases to amaze us with the ways they approach life and handle technology, especially social media. In a recent surge of trends, young individuals are sharing reels, tagging their beloved celebrities, and encouraging them to comment as a source of motivation for their studies. Numerous students have posted videos, appealing to celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, Vijay Deverakonda, and Shubman Gill, urging them to provide words of encouragement and support for their academic endeavors.

This might have been trended for a while and faded into the background if the celebs had not started jumping into the mix with their comments. While the exact origins are a bit hazy, the buzz suggests that the spark was ignited when Vijay Deverakonda responded to a pair of teenage fans. Imagine this: a fan boldly puts out a video challenging fate, declaring that if Vijay Deverakonda responds, she and her friend pledge to start studying for their exams. Now, the plot thickens – the dashing actor not only acknowledges them but adds an exciting twist, promising a face-to-face if they manage to pull off a stellar 90%. Suddenly, the intersection of academics and celebrity interaction creates a captivating narrative that sets social media on fire.

A fan page dedicated to the actor shared a video featuring her, accompanied by a text that declared, "If Alia Bhatt comments on this reel, then I'll kick off my exam preparations." Much to everyone's amusement, the actor responded with laughing emojis. On another front, a cricket enthusiast posted a video with a caption stating, "If Shubman comments on this reel, I'll start studying for my exams from tomorrow." True to the script, the cricketer indeed replied, encouraging the fan to "Start studying." Adding to the trend, Kiara Advani embraced the movement, leaving not one but two comments on a similar video where she was tagged. In one, she stated, "Study," and in the other, she offered motivational words with, "Give it your best."

Taking an entertaining twist, the spotlight shifted when the lively actor Shraddha Kapoor, known for her consistent engagement and jovial banter with fans on social media, shared a reel showcasing her indulging in various types of food. Accompanied by a playful caption, she challenged her audience, stating, "If you guys drop comments on this reel, I'll kick off my gym routine starting tomorrow."

However, not everyone is joining the frenzy of this trend. Siddharth, the actor from Rang De Basanti, recently declared his refusal to respond to such requests, deeming the trend absurd. He dismissed the craze, stating in an Instagram video, "This is a ridiculous trend. I will not be commenting on your post." He encouraged followers to focus on their studies instead of seeking social media validation, urging them to switch off social media and get to work.
