Mumbai, February 6, 2024 – Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is all set to step into the legendary shoes of Chattrapati Shivaji in an upcoming biopic directed by the renowned filmmaker Amit Rai, famed for his work in OMG 2.

The announcement comes as Shahid Kapoor is currently immersed in the promotional activities of his upcoming romantic comedy, “Teri Baaton Me Aisa Uljha Jiya,” scheduled to hit the screens on February 9, 2024. The actor has been garnering attention for his versatile roles, and his portrayal of the iconic Maratha warrior is highly anticipated.

The biopic is being produced by Ashwin Varde of Wakaao Films, who were initially on the lookout for the perfect director. After an extensive search, they have now zeroed in on Amit Rai to helm the prestigious project.
