Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D'Souza Receive Death Threats from Pakistan; Mumbai Police Tightens Security

According to reports, Pakistan has threatened the lives of four well-known Bollywood celebrities: actor and comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, choreographer Remo D'Souza, and actor-singer Sugandha Mishra. In Mumbai, a formal complaint has been made, and the police are investigating.

"We are keeping an eye on your recent activities and we feel it is necessary that we bring to your attention a serious topic," reads the email that contains the death threat. Please take this letter very seriously and keep it private; it is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to bother you. The sender, identified as "BISHNU," has signed off on the email.

A man identifying himself as Bishnu threatened to kill Kapil Sharma and his staff on December 14, 2024, by sending Rajpal Yadav an email with the ID Don. This was because Salman Khan was sponsoring his show. This prompted prompt action, as Radha Rajpal Yadav, Yadav's wife, filed a police report at Mumbai's Amboli Police Station.

At Mumbai's Amboli police station, a case has been filed under section 351(3) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, which addresses the danger of harm. Kapil Sharma and his group will have security. After linking the IP address to Pakistan, the Amboli police are requesting government assistance to communicate with Pakistan. The sender has been given eight hours to respond, failing which they risk both personal and professional repercussions.

A senior Mumbai Police official confirmed the development, stating, “We have received information about the threats and are taking all necessary precautions. Additional security personnel have been deployed, and an investigation is underway to identify the culprits.”

Kapil Sharma, known for his hit television show The Kapil Sharma Show, is one of India’s most beloved comedians. Rajpal Yadav, a veteran actor, is celebrated for his comic timing and versatile performances, while Remo D’Souza is a renowned choreographer and filmmaker with a significant fan following.

While the Mumbai Police work to uncover the source of these threats, security agencies are coordinating to assess the broader implications. Intelligence inputs suggest that such threats are often aimed at creating panic and disrupting peace.
