
Mumbai: Punjabi superstar and Bollywood actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to portray Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon in the much-anticipated war film *Border 2*. The film, a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border is being produced by J.P. Dutta, the visionary director behind the original film.
Diljit Dosanjh, known for his powerful performances, is expected to begin shooting for the film in April. His role as the courageous Indian Air Force officer will showcase the heroic battle of December 14, 1971, when Sekhon defended the Srinagar air base against six Pakistan Air Force jets during the Indo-Pak war. The story promises to bring to life one of the most intense moments of the war, highlighting the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers.
The film boasts a stellar cast, featuring Bollywood action star Sunny Deol, along with Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. With such a strong lineup, Border 2 is expected to deliver a gripping and emotional wartime narrative.
