In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a government school teacher named Rani Gangwar has been accused of torturing a nine-year-old Dalit boy for not plucking berries for her. The boy's parents claimed he was brutally beaten and locked in the classroom by his teacher. The incident came to light when the boy returned home with injuries on his back and shoulder, prompting his parents to report it to the police on July 20.

 

This incident in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, involving Rani Gangwar, a government school teacher, has raised serious concerns about child abuse and discrimination. The case involves a nine-year-old Dalit boy who was reportedly tortured by his teacher for refusing to pluck berries. The boy's parents, Bhanwati and Pothi Ram, reported the incident to the police after a medical examination confirmed the boy's injuries. Despite pressure to settle the matter privately, the parents decided to pursue legal action.


The teacher has been suspended, and the police have filed a complaint under relevant sections of the SC/ST Act and the Indian Penal Code. Rani Gangwar, however, denies the allegations, claiming she is being falsely accused.
