Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received a chilling death threat, with an unidentified sender demanding a payment of ₹5 crore, warning of consequences “worse than Baba Siddique.” The threat has triggered heightened security around the actor, and Mumbai Police has initiated an urgent investigation into the matter. Do not take it lightly; Salman Khan would need to pay ₹5 crore in order to settle his dispute with Lawrence Bishnoi and to remain alive. The sender asserted that Salman Khan's condition would worsen than Baba Siddique's if the money was not delivered.
“We have taken the threat seriously and launched a probe to identify the sender. Salman Khan’s security has been increased, and efforts are underway to track the message's origins,” said a senior police official from the Mumbai Crime Branch. Salman Khan, 58, has been under threat for some time due to previous incidents involving alleged threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He is currently being provided Y+ category security by the Maharashtra government, which involves an escort of armed personnel at all times.
Mumbai Police has deployed additional officers around Khan’s residence in Bandra and on the sets of his ongoing film projects. His movements are now under closer scrutiny, with police vehicles patrolling the area regularly.
This latest threat has raised concerns within Bollywood and among fans. Salman’s family and associates are being monitored, and several production schedules involving the actor have been adjusted as a precautionary measure.
A day after the Navi Mumbai Police announced that they had detained a Lawrence Bishnoi gang member in relation to an alleged conspiracy to assassinate Salman Khan, Salman Khan received a threat SMS. On Wednesday, a group of Panvel Town police (in Navi Mumbai) arrested the defendant, Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh, from Panipat in Haryana.
Mumbai Police assured the public that they are working swiftly to resolve the case and identify the individuals responsible for the threat.
