Zeeshan Siddique, son of prominent Mumbai politician Baba Siddique, reportedly received a threatening message this week, sparking an immediate investigation by law enforcement. Following swift action by Mumbai police, the individual responsible for the threat was traced and apprehended in Uttar Pradesh.
A 21-year-old guy from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly threatening Zeeshan Siddique, the son of deceased NCP (Ajit Pawar) politician Baba Siddique, who was also an MLA. The culprit has been handed over to Mumbai's Nirmal Nagar Police, who are questioning him to find out why he sent the SMS.
Salman Khan and the MLA were threatened with death unless they paid a ransom in texts sent to Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra on Friday night. An FIR was lodged after a member of Zeeshan Siddique's office staff filed a police complaint. After identifying Mohammed Tayyab as the source of the threats, the Mumbai Police took him into custody. A 24-year-old Jamshedpur vegetable vendor named Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin had previously been taken into custody by Mumbai Police after his WhatsApp hotline received a threatening message. After receiving a threat message on the Mumbai Traffic cops's WhatsApp helpline requesting ₹5 crore from the actor, the cops opened an inquiry and filed a case.
In a brief statement, Zeeshan Siddique expressed his gratitude for the police’s efficient response, emphasizing the importance of ensuring safety and justice for public representatives and their families. "I am thankful to the authorities for their quick and effective action," Siddique said, "and I trust that justice will prevail."
The arrest has brought relief to Siddique’s supporters and constituents, who were alarmed by the potential risks to the young MLA. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover any further risks and safeguard the Siddique family from such incidents in the future.
