An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Imphal was forced to return mid-air due to a technical snag, prompting precautionary action and ensuring all passengers landed safely.
A potential aviation scare was averted after an IndiGo flight operating from Delhi to Imphal had to return mid-air following the detection of a technical issue. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff, with the crew identifying the glitch and choosing to turn back as a precautionary measure.
According to the airline's statement, the aircraft made a safe landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, without any harm to the passengers or crew. Emergency protocols were activated, and maintenance teams immediately inspected the aircraft to diagnose the fault.
Passengers were informed about the situation during the flight and were accommodated on an alternative aircraft to continue their journey. IndiGo assured full safety compliance and extended apologies for the inconvenience caused.
While technical snags are not uncommon in aviation, the timely response by the flight crew and ground staff helped avert any serious outcome. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been notified and is expected to carry out a routine investigation.
This marks another instance of rising scrutiny in India's aviation sector following a spate of technical issues reported across airlines in rece
