Nishad Kumar, a promising para-athlete who has consistently impressed on the international stage, cleared a remarkable height of 2.07 meters to clinch the silver medal. His performance was a testament to his dedication and rigorous training, as he outperformed several top competitors in the event.
In the meantime, Preethi Pal finished third in the women's 200-meter T35 final. In the men's compound finals, China's He Zihao defeated Para archer Rakesh Kumar, preventing him from taking home a bronze medal.
In the SL4 men's single badminton semifinal, Suhas Yathiraj triumphed over Sukant Kadam, an all-Indian competitor. In the SL3 semifinals for men's singles, K Nitesh triumphed over Daisuke Fujihara of Japan. In other badminton matches, NS Sivan defeated O Szmigiel to go to the SH6 quarterfinals for women's singles. Manisha Ramadass also defeated Toyoda of Japan in the SU5 quarterfinals of the women's singles.
Bhavina Patel won her table tennis match against Martha Verdin of Mexico in the women's singles class 4 Round of 16. In the men's shot put F40, India's R Rongali finished fifth.
