New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to Delhi High Court Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma, who is hearing the liquor policy case, to recuse him from the case.
On Monday, an important hearing was also held in this case and Kejriwal himself presented his side in front of the court.
Kejriwal asked the court to recuse himself from the case by Judge Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma. He said that he is apprehensive about a fair trial by this court.
The former Delhi chief minister also listed ten reasons behind this.
In his one-and-a-half-hour argument, Kejriwal alleged that there is a pattern in Justice Sharma's orders, in which every argument of the ED and CBI is accepted.
"Justice Sharma has also attended the All India Advocates Council program of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh 4 times. Which raises questions about their impartiality," he said.
Kejriwal also alleged that the children of Justice Swaran Kanta are public prosecutors of the central government and work under Tushar Mehta. So how can fairness be expected from them?
