Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Meghna Bordikar said that 'Menopause Clinics' have been started in all government hospitals and urban areas of the state, keeping women's health at the center.
Addressing the initiative, the minister said that menopause is a very intimate and sensitive phase of a woman's life. Physical changes, mental stress, hormonal imbalances, bone diseases, sleep disorders, and depression were ignored during this period. Recognizing this need, the government has taken a far-sighted decision to start a 'Menopause Clinic' for women. (Menopause Clinic)
The clinic provides expert medical advice, mental health counseling, bone, heart, and hormone checkups, medication, and guidance in one place. Maharashtra has become the first state in the country to start such a menopause clinic.
This initiative started for women on the occasion of Makar Sankranti has received a huge response, and women are feeling that they have received a sweet gift of women's health in the true sense. There has been a lot of positive response from women across the state.
