Yuzvendra Chahal's fielding effort was a bright spot for Rajasthan Royals in their Qualifier 2 loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The leg-spinner grabbed three catches in the deep, at the short third-man position, to help restrict SRH's batting.
However, while Chahal's contribution was valuable, it wasn't a record-breaking performance. The distinction of taking the most catches by a fielder in IPL playoff history belongs to his teammate, Rovam Powell. Just two days earlier, in the Eliminator against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Powell snagged four catches to stifle their batting.
While Chahal couldn't pick up any wickets with the ball in Qualifier 2, his fielding ensured Rajasthan Royals remained in the contest for a longer period. It's a reminder that impactful contributions in a T20 match can come from various aspects of the game, not just bowling or batting.
