Film Review: *Be Happy  Rating: ⭐⭐🌟 (2.5/5)

”Be Happy” tries to dance its way into our hearts with emotions, comedy, and family drama, but stumbles with a weak plot and forgettable music. While Abhishek Bachchan and Inaayat Verma give their best moves, the film struggles to keep the rhythm. Watch it if you’re in the mood for a lighthearted family entertainer, but don’t expect a standing ovation.

Film Review: *Be Happy     Rating: ⭐⭐🌟 (2.5/5)

Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, Inaayat Verma, Nassar, and Nora Fatehi

Director: Remo D’Souza

Release Date: March 14, 2025 (Amazon Prime)

 **Storyline**

*Be Happy* is a heartwarming yet predictable family drama centered around Shiv (Abhishek Bachchan) and his daughter Dhara (Inaayat Verma). Dhara is deeply passionate about dance and actively participates in school competitions. A chance meeting with renowned dancer Sultan (Nora Fatehi) leads to an invitation to her Mumbai-based dance academy. However, Shiv, an uninterested father, is reluctant to support his daughter’s dreams. It takes the wisdom of his father Nadaar (Nassar) to convince him to move to Mumbai for Dhara’s dance contest.

What follows is a mix of comedy and emotions, especially when the contest includes a round where the entire family must participate in a dance performance. This section brings some entertaining moments, but also a fair share of clichés.

**Performances**

Abhishek Bachchan delivers a commendable performance, portraying a reluctant yet loving father with sincerity. Inaayat Verma shines as Dhara, bringing innocence and enthusiasm to her role. Nassar, as always, adds depth to his character. However, Nora Fatehi, despite her real-life dance skills, delivers a rather average performance.

**Direction & Music**

Remo D’Souza, known for his dance-centric films, directs *Be Happy* with a good mix of humor and emotions. However, the screenplay loses focus at times, making the film feel stretched. The music, which could have been a strong point in a dance-based film, is surprisingly forgettable.

 **Verdict**

*Be Happy* tries to be a fun-filled family entertainer but struggles to leave a lasting impact. While the performances, especially by Abhishek and Inaayat, are praiseworthy, the weak music and inconsistent screenplay bring the film down. If you’re looking for a light-hearted watch with some fun dance moments, it might be worth streaming.

**Final Rating: 2.5/5 (Bru Times)**
