Geneva, or Genève, is the second largest city in Switzerland after Zurich. It is adjacent to France, and its official language is French. The city is located on the banks of "Geneva Lake." Numerous United Nations bodies have their offices here. It is the capital of the Republic and Canton of Geneva and a center for international diplomacy.
