Aung San Suu Kyi

Aung San Suu Kyi is a Burmese politician and diplomat who served as State Counsellor of Myanmar and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2016 to 2021. She ws born on 19 June 1945 in Rangoon (now Yangon), British Burma. Since the establishment of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in 1988, she served as its General Secretary and later held the position of registered Chairperson while the party remained legally recognized between 2011 and 2023.
