Four-star flag officer Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, is currently serving in the Indian Navy. He is the 26th and current Chief of Staff of the Navy. Tripathi's birthday is May 15, 1964. He had previously held the positions of Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Naval Command and 38th Vice Chief of the Naval Staff. In addition, he held the positions of Director General of Naval Operations (DGNO) and Chief of Personnel (COP). On April 30, 2024, he succeeded Admiral R. Hari Kumar as the 26th CNS.
