In a sharp political offensive, LJP(R) chief Chirag Paswan launched a fresh attack on the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, accusing it of administrative failure, unemployment, and deteriorating law and order.
Addressing a public rally in Patna, Chirag Paswan said that the people of Bihar are "fed up with the misgovernance" and alleged that the ruling coalition has failed to deliver on promises made during the elections. He pointed out the alarming rise in crime across the state, poor infrastructure in rural areas, and the continued migration of youth due to lack of jobs.
“Bihar’s progress is stuck because the government is stuck in outdated politics,” Paswan stated, adding that development has taken a backseat under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
He also targeted the recent government policies on education and health, claiming they are only “cosmetic changes” with no real impact on the ground. Paswan’s attack is seen as a strategic move to consolidate his party’s voter base ahead of the upcoming state elections.
While Nitish Kumar has yet to respond to the latest statements, JD(U) leaders have dismissed Chirag’s remarks as “attention-seeking tactics” and reiterated their focus on long-term governance reforms.
This fresh round of political sparring highlights the rising temperature in Bihar’s political landscape, with regional parties intensifying their outreach and rhetoric in the run-up to elections.
