Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's firm and consistent stand that all issues with Pakistan are to be resolved bilaterally, without the involvement of any third party, during a phone conversation with former US President Donald Trump.

This statement came in response to Trump’s repeated offers to mediate the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan. Modi firmly conveyed that India’s stance is rooted in the Simla Agreement and the Lahore Declaration, which emphasize bilateral resolution of issues. Officials confirmed that the Prime Minister was clear, assertive, and diplomatic in his articulation.

The conversation highlights India’s unchanging diplomatic approach and sends a strong message globally about its sovereign decisions. The Ministry of External Affairs also released a statement shortly after the call, reiterating that India has never accepted and will never accept foreign mediation.
