The film was entirely set and filmed in Nellimanda, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The visual effects were managed by Movieteck LLC, a US-based visual effects studio. Jathara was originally slated for release on 15 August 2024, but was delayed due to incomplete post-production tasks. Now the film is scheduled for release on 8 November 2024 in normal, IMAX, 3D, and 4DX formats. The initial poster for the film was unveiled on 9 August 2024.
