Darbhanga district, the heart of Mithila culture, is famous for producing mangoes and makhana. The area is notably influenced by Yadavs, Muslims, and Brahmins. The constituency has around 350,000 Muslim voters, and approximately 300,000 each of Yadav and Brahmin voters.
