Twelve people have died in an accident at a coalmine in Heilongjiang, northeastern China, state television CCTV said on Thursday.
The cause of the catastrophe that happened on Wednesday at the Kunyuan coalmine in the city of Jixi is still being looked into, according to the broadcaster, which also claimed thirteen casualties.
The accidents revealed "inadequate coordination of development and safety, failure of the main safety responsibilities of mining enterprises, and weak mine safety foundations," according to a notification released by China's cabinet in November.
It is high time that Coal Mines ensure safety of their workers and save lives and provide them an environment where they are away from any life threatening causes as it is there responsibility to look for the other members and take care of them.
