Bye Bye Twitter Blue Bird.
As per Twitter official announcement on 24 July 2023, Twitter changed its logo from blue bird to X. Now It is rebranded and will be called as X.
Is Elon Musk right to change the Twitter Logo?
Mr Musk claimed this month that advertising revenue has decreased by half as big businesses are afraid of changes he has made, such as how the company handles verified accounts and moderates content. Unexpected layoffs and unpaid payments have often resulted in negative headlines and lawsuits.
Twitter's rebranding as X has already begun, and the social media site's official handle no longer displays the display name 'X'. The famous blue bird emblem in the profile photo has been changed by X, and the handle's bio has been updated as well.
Elon Musk hopes that with X, he can create a super app that can do a lot more than just be a social network platform for interactions.
In a tweet on Sunday, Elon Musk said of Twitter's rebranding, "And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." In another tweet, he said that if they can find a nice enough logo, it will go up soon.
And it appears that the team did identify a suitable logo, as Elon Musk posted a video of the X logo to his Twitter profile. He afterwards altered his profile photo to show the logo. The Twitter Daily News Handle also posted a photo of the logo with the caption, "Twitter.com has now changed to show the X Logo."
Musk also stated in a separate tweet that the domain X.com will now route users to Twitter. And, certainly, typing X.com into your web browser will bring you the Twitter website. This makes us question if Twitter.com will be phased out and replaced by X.com in the future.
