On 8 April 2024, Ramnagar, Uttarakhand: Suddenly a fire broke out in the Garjia temple complex of Ramnagar. Due to the fire, the Prasad shops set up in the Garjiya temple premises were burnt to ashes.

During this time there was chaos among the devotees. The fire brigade team reached the spot after receiving information and brought the fire under control after a lot of effort.

The Hindu Devi temple Garjiya Devi Temple is situated in the Uttarakhand village of Garjiya, close to Ramnagar. One of the most well-known temples in the Nainital district, it is perched above a sizable rock in the Kosi River.
