Host Jeev Milkha Singh finished third in the inaugural Indian Legends Championship on Sunday after a dreadful triple bogey ruined his ranking. Jeev was not happy with his final performance at Jaypee Greens Golf Course, where he shot a one-over-par 76 despite being the best on the Legends Tour and lost the $500,000 event (the first time he had competed in the year). Even without Jeev, the host nation has had a great showing on the Legends Tour in India. He sits in ninth place at two-under 214, the second-best player behind Giff. 

Amandeep Johl (73-73-73) and Mukesh Kumar (74-72-70) are tied on 15 points overall. Hangman's first mistake resulted in a tie for the lead, but Jeev’s fortunes quickly changed. The Swede recovered well and made birdies on the second and fifth after Giff made three bogeys on the front nine. When the pair reached the corner, Hagerman was five points ahead of the others. Hagerman had trouble on the 14th and 15th holes after four consecutive pars. A birdie on the par-5 15th put him two shots ahead. The lead was immediately reduced from five points to two points and remained that way until the final 18th tee, when Hagerman and Giff tied on the 16th and 17th holes.

Giff had no choice but to take the risk. Giff didn't make it to the final round, even at the risk of not paying the owners. He hit his third shot on No. 1. The 52-year-old was already on the 18th green and after play resumed, he hit another green, resulting in a two-putt triple bogey and the score falling from a tie for second to three under. He won by two strokes. They were 40 minutes ahead of the last team.
