The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to captivate cricket enthusiasts from March 22 to May 25, 2025. The tournament will feature 10 teams competing across 74 matches in 13 venues throughout India.

 

The season will commence on March 22 at Kolkata's iconic Eden Gardens, with the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), facing off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Eden Gardens is also slated to host the grand finale on May 25, marking the third time this historic venue has been chosen for the IPL final, following its hosting in 2013 and 2015.

 

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will host the Rajasthan Royals' season opener on March 23 versus SunRisers Hyderabad, the previous year's finalists. On March 23, the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will square off in their season opener in Chennai.

 

The tournament's first game will put the Delhi Capitals against the Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 and the Gujarat Titans against the Punjab Kings on March 25.
