His record-breaking feats in all three formats, leadership qualities, and unparalleled capacity to score double hundreds in ODIs have made him a crowd favorite. He attended a cricket camp at 11 and eventually caught the eye of coach Dinesh Lad, who assisted him in earning a scholarship to Swami Vivekanand International School. Off-spinner Rohit was initially then moved up the order to bat at the opening position, which altered his life forever.
