
Dr. Dantu Muralikrishna, who is a renowned scientist, writer and singer based in Bhopal, was awarded the prestigious highest state civilian Kala Ratna Award by the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Chandra Babu Naidu on the occasion of Telugu New Year (Ugadi).
This award was given to him for his work on the Bhagavad Gita in various formats, like audio albums with life management concepts in different languages and books, journal publications, etc. This award was presented by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu.
In the past, Dr. Murali Krishna has received many national and international awards, including the Vishist Sanskrit Sevavrati Award (2019) from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, and the Asia Book of Records for creating an audio album on Bhagavad Gita shlokas in multiple languages.
Dr. Dantu Muralikrishna, born on May 15, 1962, in Kunavaram, Khammam district (now part of East Godavari District), Andhra Pradesh, India, is a distinguished scientist, writer, and singer renowned for his contributions to both pharmaceutical research and the dissemination of the Bhagavad Gita's teachings.
Dr. Muralikrishna obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Government Arts College in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. He earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, and subsequently attained his Ph.D. from Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
He commenced his career with Rainbow Inks & Varnish and subsequently transitioned to Cepham Laboratories Limited in Haryana, amassing over 36 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry. He later joined Lupin Limited, where he occupied multiple positions, ultimately serving as Senior General Manager. During his stay, he devised economical and eco-friendly techniques for medicinal compounds, securing multiple patents and publishing various research publications.
Dr. Muralikrishna has actively engaged in numerous conferences and summits. He was a speaker at the Bhagavad Gita Summit, which took place from December 10-14, 2021, coinciding with Gita Jayanti in Dallas, Texas. His speeches frequently emphasize the incorporation of the Bhagavad Gita's concepts with contemporary leadership and life management methodologies.
Contributions to the Bhagavad Gita and Life Administration
In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Dr. Muralikrishna has committed considerable efforts to rendering the lessons of the Bhagavad Gita accessible to a wider audience. He produced an audio album entitled "Sambhavami Yuge Yuge," featuring his composition and vocal rendition of 108 Sanskrit shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita in three languages: Hindi, English, and Telugu. These interpretations, grounded on Carnatic ragas, underscore life management principles including self-discipline, motivation, conduct, and spirituality.
Besides his audio works, Dr. Muralikrishna wrote the book "Master of Life Management," released in January 2022. This extensive 648-page work explores the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, providing insights on effective leadership and personal growth.
